Wendy Garratt

I am a qualified and experienced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) counsellor and a proud member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My journey into counselling was inspired by my own experiences and the needs of my family, leading me to a fulfilling career where I can make a real difference in people's lives.

Originally trained as a Rural Practice Chartered Surveyor at Harper Adams, my path to becoming a counsellor was driven by personal experiences and from this grew my dedication to helping others.

As a mother of three teenagers with additional educational needs, I sought a career that offered the flexibility to support my family.

This resulted in the creation of an Equine Therapeutic Interactions center, where I combined my passion for horses with my commitment to helping people from all walks of life.

My Services

My range of therapy services are designed to cater to diverse needs and preferences. I offer Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) in a serene, heated Shepard's Hut. Additionally, I provide affordable Student Personal Therapy tailored to students' unique challenges. The Equine Assisted CBT combines cognitive behavioural therapy with the calming presence of horses for a unique therapeutic experience.

Equine Assisted CBT

Equine Assisted CBT combines traditional cognitive behavioural therapy with interaction with horses, providing a calming and unique therapeutic experience. This approach is ideal for clients who find conventional therapy settings challenging.

Student Personal Therapy

Student Personal Therapy offers affordable, supportive sessions tailored to address the unique mental health needs of students, helping them navigate academic pressures, personal challenges, and emotional well-being.

A Personal Wellness Retreat
